USING THE MANHATTAN FLOWER EMBOSSING FOLDER SEVERAL WAYS.

I like the orange and yellow rose best of the three, using parchment paper and pastels on the back seemed to keep the delicacy of the flower.

FOR MY DADS 80th.

I sometimes struggle with mens cards and making one for my Dad is no exception. So after some thought I came up with this to suggest that he was in the engineering industry as a maintenance fitter. Not too sure about the clock faces but I think cogs and wheels may have been part of his job. He is also 80 so could’nt leave that out.

First Christmas Card!

I saw a lady, Sue Wilson, who made a lovely card on create and craft out of spellbinders nestabilities, so decided to have a go at something similar with my cricut. Its not quite as extravagant but pretty quick to make so I  will make a batch of this design until something else takes my eye!

Using an old favourite stamp.

I cut out some butterflies with my cricut and then needed a stamp to co-ordinate with them. I remembered my old nasturtium stamp, one of the first ones I bought many years ago, coloured to match the butterflies and did a bit of a pop up inside.

A commissioned card for a 13 year old.

A friend at a craft group I go to wanted a card making for a 13 year old.Hope this fits the bill!

Potted Lavendar.

A Day For Daisies latest blog challenge wanted something’new’.I have been looking for an image of lavendar for some time ready to try the ‘folk art’ technique,PERFECT! Saw the image and after a few tries got the crackle background I wanted, then transferred the potted lavendar image, applied my acrylic paint and bobs your uncle! Enjoyed getting really messy with the background, only took me about 3 hours to get it right!Still, time flies when you are having fun.
